Luckycoin (LKY) is a mineable cryptocurrency that launched in May 2013. It was created by an anonymous developer known as LuckyC. The project is described as "Fast, Fun & Fair" and is considered one of the oldest active memecoins. It does not have a specific utility.
In August 2024, the chain was revived after a backup of the 2013 blockchain was discovered. This revival started from block 81,743 to preserve as much of the original history as possible.
LKY is available for trading on several centralized exchanges. The following routes are verified:
MEXC offers 0 trading fees for this pair but requires KYC. This exchange is not available to users in the US, Canada, UK, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and several other jurisdictions.
Luckycoin operates on its own blockchain. Users generate LKY through mining. The network features "Lucky Blocks" which randomly provide 2x, 5x, or 58x rewards. Because of these random blocks, the maximum supply of approximately 20 million coins is an estimate rather than a fixed number.
The network is the same basis that Billy Markus used to create Dogecoin. The primary difference was the change of the font to Comic Sans.
LKY is a native coin and not a token on another platform. You must use a wallet that supports the Luckycoin network. You can verify addresses and transactions using the Luckycoin explorer.
For setup and technical details, users can refer to the official documentation or the official website.
Deposit and withdrawal support for the listed exchanges is not verified. You should check if an exchange allows you to move LKY to a private wallet before depositing funds.
