About cryptobuyingtips.com

We started cryptobuyingtips.com because the crypto content we kept finding online was either written by people trying to sell something, or by bots recycling the same surface-level advice. Neither type helps someone who actually wants to understand what they're doing before putting money into the market.

This site is a crypto education and buying guide resource. We cover everything from how to buy Bitcoin for the first time to DeFi protocol analysis, exchange comparisons, and daily market updates. The goal is simple: explain things clearly, use real data, and be honest when something isn't worth your money.

Who we are

We're a small team of crypto analysts, financial journalists, and market researchers. Between us, we've been following crypto markets since before the 2017 bull run, have deployed real money across DeFi protocols, tested dozens of exchanges personally, and read more whitepapers than we'd recommend to anyone.

We don't take a permabull stance. When a project overpromises, we say so. When a protocol is genuinely innovative, we get excited about it. We have no patience for vaporware, tokenomics designed to extract value, or influencer-driven pump narratives.

Meet our contributors

Sigrid Voss

Lead Analyst & Financial Journalist

Sigrid is our lead analyst and the primary voice behind our market updates, exchange reviews, and buying guides. Based in Stockholm, she came to finance the hard way — her family was hit by the 2008 financial crisis, and watching adults scramble while institutions got bailed out gave her a lasting obsession with how money and power actually work. She started a finance blog at 16, went down the crypto rabbit hole in 2019, and has been writing professionally about crypto markets, DeFi, and macroeconomics ever since.

Sigrid's work is grounded in real experience. She has used every major exchange personally, written in-depth analysis on dozens of protocols, and brings a journalist's skepticism to everything she covers. Her articles consistently rank because she writes for readers first — not search engines, not sponsors.

On affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you sign up for an exchange through one of our links, we earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. In several cases we can share a fee discount with you through our referral link, which we always do when it's available.

We only recommend exchanges and products our team has used or researched thoroughly. Affiliate relationships never change what we write. If we have a problem with an exchange's fee structure or customer support, we say so — the commission isn't worth compromising the only thing that makes this site useful, which is honest information.

A note on accuracy

Crypto markets move fast. We do our best to keep articles current, but always verify fees, rates, and availability directly with an exchange before making a financial decision. Nothing on this site is financial advice. See our Disclaimer for the full picture.
