Swell Network (SWELL) is a decentralized, non-custodial liquid staking protocol. It is designed to simplify how users access decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities on the Ethereum blockchain while maintaining censorship resistance.
The protocol allows users to stake Ethereum to earn rewards. In return, participants receive a yield-bearing liquid staking token (LST). This LST represents the staked assets and earned rewards, and it can be used within other DeFi applications to generate additional yield. SWELL also serves as a governance token, allowing holders to participate in decisions regarding the protocol's development.
SWELL is available on several centralized exchanges and decentralized platforms.
Centralized exchanges
You can find SWELL on the following platforms:
Decentralized exchanges
SWELL can be swapped on Uniswap via the Ethereum network, with available pairs including SWELL/ETH and SWELL/WETH.
SWELL operates on the Ethereum platform. As an ERC-20 token, it relies on Ethereum's infrastructure for security and transaction processing. The network enables the liquid staking mechanism that separates the act of staking from the loss of liquidity. By issuing LSTs, the network allows users to keep their assets mobile while they earn staking rewards.
To hold SWELL outside of an exchange, you need an Ethereum-compatible wallet.
Contract verification
Always verify the token contract address before making a transfer. The verified contract address for SWELL on Ethereum is: 0x0a6E7Ba5042B38349e437ec6Db6214AEC7B35676. You can check this via the official explorer.
Network fees
Because SWELL is on Ethereum, every transfer or smart contract interaction requires ETH to pay for gas fees. Ensure your wallet has enough ETH to cover these costs or your transaction will fail.
Transfer checks
Before sending SWELL, confirm that the receiving address supports the Ethereum network. Sending tokens to a network that is not compatible will result in a permanent loss of funds.
Moving assets from an exchange to a private wallet involves several risks.
Withdrawal availability
Deposit and withdrawal support is not verified for all routes. Some exchanges may have temporary or permanent restrictions. For example, reports from BitcoinWorld indicate that Upbit and Bithumb have previously halted SWELL deposits and withdrawals due to network transitions or wallet maintenance. Always check the exchange's current status before depositing.
Contract risk
Using lookalike contract addresses is a common mistake. Only use the address provided by official sources or the Swell Network official website.
Regional restrictions
KYC requirements and account features vary by country. Some exchanges, such as Bybit and MEXC, have specific lists of banned and supported countries that may affect your ability to withdraw funds.
