What the native network does

The Quantus network is built on Substrate. It uses a proof-of-work consensus called QPoW, which relies on the Poseidon2 hash function and has 12-second blocks.

The system uses post-quantum cryptography to secure data. This includes ML-DSA (Dilithium) signatures for transactions and ML-KEM (Kyber) for encrypted peer-to-peer networking. The network has a fixed maximum supply of 21,000,000 QTC. Emission follows a smooth exponential decay. Transaction fees are partly burned, and there is no developer tax on block rewards.

Quantus uses two types of addresses: transparent and encrypted. Funds in encrypted addresses only move through a zero-knowledge proof that credits a new exit address. This process breaks the link between the sender and the receiver. These proofs use Plonky2 with FRI commitments and Poseidon2 hashing. The network can handle a post-quantum TPS (QTPS) of 430 transactions per second.
