Zephyr Protocol is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency launched in May 2023. It is a decentralized, over-collateralized stablecoin protocol based on a native Monero-based chain. This design allows the protocol to inherit privacy features for all its assets.
The system uses a three-asset model to function. ZEPH is the foundational asset and is used as collateral to mint the other two assets: the Zephyr Stable Dollar (ZSD) and Zephyr Reserve Shares (ZRS).
ZEPH is available on several centralized exchanges. The following routes are verified in our database:
MEXC has source-backed trading fees of 0% for this pair and requires KYC.
The Zephyr network is a standalone blockchain. It is not a token issued on another platform like Ethereum or Solana. By using a Monero-based architecture, it provides privacy for transactions and balances.
The primary purpose of the network is to support a private stablecoin ecosystem. Users provide ZEPH as collateral to mint ZSD, which is designed to maintain a stable value. ZRS represents a share in the protocol reserve and allows holders to benefit from excess equity.
Because ZEPH operates on its own native chain, you must use a wallet that supports the Zephyr network. Sending ZEPH to an address on a different blockchain will result in a permanent loss of funds.
You can use the Zephyr Protocol explorer to verify addresses and track transactions. For those who want to inspect the technical implementation, the source code is available on GitHub. Detailed protocol mechanics are documented in the official whitepaper.
